nstead of releasing a single Anniversary model, as done previously, G&L’s 30th Anniversary is the first to be commemorated with a collection having several guitars and basses in the lineup. The traditional gift for a 30th wedding anniversary are pearls hence G&L use of a Pearl Frost finish with matching headstock. The 30th Anniversary ASAT Classic is part of the original lineup before it was extended. It has an alder body, ASAT Classic 6-saddle bridge, 3-ply White Pearl pickguard, 2 Magnetic Field Design (MFD) ASAT Classic pickups, 3-position pickup selector, volume control, and tone control. Unlike the previous Anniversary models, it has a standard neck plate. The #1 hard-rock maple neck has a 12” radius ebony fingerboard, Medium Jumbo 6100 frets, 1⅝” wide nut, and closed tuning machines with White Pearl buttons. Given the production was not limited to any number, there is no other indicator of it being part of the 30th Anniversary collection than the special water slide logo on the back of the headstock.
